Refund policy

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

Diffusers Return

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

The customer is responsible for return shipping costs and applicable shipping insurance.

The diffuser must be unused and in its original packaging with all parts, accessories and documentation.

  • Diffusers must be packed in a proper shipping box; a diffuser box is not considered a shipping box, please use appropriate packaging material.
  • Diffusers that have been run with oil are deemed used and not eligible for return.
  • Diffusers that have been altered, modified or damaged by the customer are not eligible for return.

HVAC Scenting is not responsible for lost items or damages caused by the carrier. We strongly recommend securing shipping insurance and providing us with a tracking number as part of the return process.

Refunds for returns conforming to the above-mentioned policy are typically issued within five business days from the product acceptance by HVAC Scenting. All return units are inspected to confirm unused condition prior to issuing any refunds.

  • Final sale (i.e., on sale) items are not eligible for a return.
  • Exchanges typically are processed within five business days if all applicable exchange information is provided to HVAC Scenting.

 

Oils Return

Unopened essential oil bottles may be returned for any reason up to 30 days of the date you receive the product for a full refund. The customer is responsible for return shipping costs. Open bottles (i.e. with removed temper lock) cannot be returned and are not eligible for a refund.

Refunds for returns conforming to the above-mentioned policy will be issued within five business days from the product acceptance by HVAC Scenting.

Exchanges are processed within five business days if all applicable exchange information is provided to HVAC Scenting by 12:00PM EST.

Damages and issues

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.


Exceptions / non-returnable items

Please note that custom orders, including final sale items, oil blends, scent samples, discontinued aromas, private label scents, and specialty diffusers, cannot be returned. As these products are specifically tailored to each individual customer, they are excluded from our general return policy, which applies to our broader customer base.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.


Refunds

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days.

Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
