Connecting to the HVAC
Experience outstanding fragrance scent delivered through your central heating and cooling system. Each HVAC scent diffuser comes with a metal push-in fitting that screws into the machine and a plastic tube that connects the diffuser to the HVAC air duct.

Step 1
In order for the aroma mist to carry through the air duct, the AC must be operating or the blower fan must be turned on. If the AC (or fan) is off, the aroma mist will stay in the air duct and won’t reach the intended space. If the diffuser is operating for a prolonged period of time with the AC fan being off there will be unwanted scent buildup in air ducts and could cause diffuser or air handler damage.
Step 2
HVAC setup typically requires intensity levels 10% to 15% higher compared to standalone diffuser setup. Air duct passage creates an additional volume of space through which the aroma must travel and some capacity is lost due to the extended volume of space. With a standalone setup, the aroma covers a smaller volume of space and has a slower transit time.
Step 3
Installing the air diffuser requires adequate space to accommodate your aroma diffuser and must be close to the air ducts. The ideal placement of the diffuser tube opening is after the air handler and before the first air register (please refer to the diagram above). Please ensure the air duct opening is further away from the air handler body to prevent possible interference.
Step 4
The plastic tube that connects the diffuser with the air duct should be kept as short as possible and at the near-vertical pitch. Avoid ‘sagging’ formations in the tube as this could cause oil accumulation in the lower part of the tube and possibly damage your diffuser.
Step 5
The diffuser plastic tube entering the air duct should be approximately three to four inches inside the duct and pitched at about 10% downward angle just to ease the aroma flow.
Step 6
Ensure proper insulation of the opening by using aluminum tape and secure the plastic tube to one of the hard areas to minimize any tube movement.
Step 7
The placement of the diffuser should be in a dry, clean, moist free environment
nearby a proper 110V power outlet.

Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers about operating, installing, and maintaining your HVAC150 scent diffuser.
Using Your Diffuser
Can the HVAC150 operate internationally?
The HVAC150 may be used internationally when the local electrical supply is compatible with the voltage and frequency shown on the diffuser’s power adapter and product label.
A country-specific plug adapter may also be required. Before using the diffuser outside the United States, confirm compatibility with the local electrical standard. Do not connect the machine to an incompatible voltage supply.
How long will the HVAC150 last?
The HVAC150 is designed for long-term commercial and large-scale residential use when operated and maintained according to the product instructions.
Its service life depends on operating frequency, fragrance intensity, environmental conditions, cleaning, and proper oil handling. Keeping the diffuser secure, using compatible fragrance oils, and performing routine maintenance will help support reliable performance.
Where do I download the mobile app?
The HVAC150 connects through Bluetooth using the Aroma Designers mobile app. Download the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, enable Bluetooth on your phone, and follow the pairing instructions supplied with the diffuser.

What is the warranty on the HVAC150?
The HVAC150 is covered according to the warranty terms in effect at the time of purchase. Warranty coverage applies to eligible manufacturing defects and does not normally cover accidental damage, misuse, unauthorized modification, incorrect installation, or damage caused by incompatible oils or electrical supplies.
Keep your order confirmation and register your diffuser after purchase. Review the current terms on our warranty registration page .
HVAC Installation
Can the HVAC150 operate as a standalone diffuser?
Yes. The HVAC150 can operate as a standalone scent diffuser using its built-in fan, or it can be connected to compatible HVAC ductwork for broad fragrance distribution throughout large residential and commercial spaces.
Standalone operation may be suitable for open environments where direct fragrance distribution is preferred. HVAC-connected operation is generally recommended when scent needs to reach multiple rooms or areas through the existing ventilation system.
How is the HVAC150 connected to the HVAC system?
The HVAC150 is installed near the HVAC system and connected to the ductwork using fragrance tubing. The tubing carries atomized fragrance into the HVAC airflow so it can be distributed through the building’s existing vents.
Because the HVAC150 is intended for large residential and commercial environments, professional installation is strongly recommended. A qualified HVAC technician can identify the correct duct location, airflow direction, tubing position, and electrical setup.
View our HVAC connection guide for additional information.
Does the HVAC fan need to remain on?
When the HVAC150 is connected to the ductwork, the HVAC fan must be circulating air for fragrance to travel effectively through the ventilation system and into the intended areas.
The HVAC fan does not necessarily need to run continuously. Coordinate the HVAC150’s programmed scenting schedule with the building’s fan schedule for more consistent fragrance distribution and efficient oil consumption.
Where should the HVAC150 be installed?
Install the HVAC150 in a dry, stable, secure, and accessible location near the HVAC system. It may be positioned on a suitable surface or mounted securely according to the supplied installation instructions.
Leave sufficient access to replace the 2,500 ml fragrance-oil bottle, inspect the tubing, adjust the settings, and perform routine maintenance. Avoid water, condensation, excessive dust, extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, and locations that obstruct HVAC service access.
Can the HVAC150 be installed in an attic?
Installation in an uncontrolled attic is generally not recommended when the diffuser could be exposed to excessive heat, freezing temperatures, humidity, condensation, or heavy dust.
When the HVAC equipment is located in an attic, install the HVAC150 in a protected, secure, and accessible area that remains within the operating conditions stated in the product instructions. A qualified HVAC professional should evaluate the installation environment before proceeding.
Can connecting the HVAC150 damage the HVAC system?
The HVAC150 is designed to work with compatible HVAC systems when installed correctly and operated according to the supplied instructions.
Incorrect placement, unsuitable tubing installation, improper electrical connections, excessive fragrance output, or unauthorized modifications may cause performance or equipment issues. Professional installation is strongly recommended for the HVAC150 due to its commercial capacity and large coverage area.
